FAQs

1) What is A tiny Red Dot?
A Tiny Red Dot is an online photo exhibition about Singapore. Visitors are encouraged to take part in this photo exhibition by submitting a photo (or photos, if you wish) that potrays the feelings of participants about what Singapore truly means to them. See the 'About' page.

2) What on earth is it for?
Exploring how individuals view and feel towards Singapore, A Tiny Red Dot aims to encourage reflection on how we can stand up and make things count for this nation which you and I may have come to regard as our home.

3) Who can take part?
Anyone! You can take part whether or not you're a Singaporean. Your photos have to be shot in Singapore though.

4) OK, I want to take part in this photo exhibition. How should I proceed?
To submit a photo, simply email your photo as an attachment to the following email address: cool86added2blog@photos.flickr.com. Use the subject line to give your photo submission a title, and the body of the email to give it a description as well as include your personal particulars. For more info, please view this page.

5) Help! I would like to take part, but I've no idea what to submit.
Worry not, just send your photos over if you feel that these photos contain something about Singapore that you would like to share with the rest of us here. How about prominent local landmarks and tourist attractions? Local culture and heritage? The arts? Sports? People in the streets? We'll accept any photos which you feel that would allow visitors to get to know your feelings and views about Singapore, regardless of whether these are positive or negative. Please don't submit inappropriate content though. Take a look at this page.

6) I think that A Tiny Red Dot is cool. How can I help?
Tell people you know about A Tiny Red Dot and get them to particpate. Also, feel free to add your comments to the photo submission and contribute to the discussion.

Keep the file size of your photo small too, because we have only limited bandwidth to use over at Flickr.com, our photos hosting service.

7) How do I contact A Tiny Red Dot?
Email a.tiny.red.dot@gmail.com.
